How Hard Should I Press Down when Applying a Glue Tab to the Panel?

When applying the glue tab to the panel, it is best to set the tab within a layer of glue similar to a brick placed in mortar. The tab should have an even layer of glue all the way around the edge with plenty of glue left between the tab and the panel. If too much pressure is applied to the tab, the lack of glue will greatly increase the likelihood of an early release and the overall adhesion strength could be severely reduced.
